As many of you know there is already a confirmation of the minimum salary for 2025 in Spain. As you have noticed most of the products and services prices have risen over the pasts months.

What cost few months ago 100€ now it cost 110€ - 120€. That means that to make a simple example if you earned 1.000€, few months ago you could buy 10 items and now you if you receive the same salary, because the prices have risen you can only buy can only obtain 8-9 items. In a very short period of time. You have lost purchase power.

How the goverment tries to fix this issue? by raising the minimum salaries.

How much is the new minimum salary?

The new salary is 16.576€ brutos in 40 hours. It has increased 700€ from the previous salary in 2024 (15.876€)

Since when is it effective?

​

It is effective from 1st of January 2025 which means that your employer or company will need to pay you now at the end of February already the new salary and also the increase from the month of January.

Is it for all kind of workers?

Yes for company workers, house workers, temporary workers etc...

All salaries will increase?

​

No. Only those salaries who earned less than 16.576€ will see an increase. For example if you earned already 17.000€ you will not see any increase on your salary. If you earned 16.000€ you will see an increase of 576€.

Is the salary increase bruto or neto?

​

The increase is bruto, which means that you need to pay SS on that amount which means you will get less as neto.

​

How about if i dont work full time?

​

Yes you will also see an increase of your salary proportional to the time that you work.
